Jumping on the bandwagon

So I keep reading on bf.com about these "blog" things, and have decided that I need one too. So, along with my fellow bf.com junkies, I am jumping up on that bandwagon and creating a log of my adventures. I suppose if others are going to be reading my blog I should tell y'all a little bit about myself.

I am Vicie, yes pronounced Vicky, but seeing as Victoria doesn't contain the letters k or y, my mom decided to spell it Vicie. I am married to James. We've been married for about 2 1/2 years. Our family consists of one beautiful 9 month old son, Joshua and a whole crew of cats. I used to call the cats our "children" but must admit that since Josh joined the family they have been slightly demoted. We have Motley, a fat little torti who turned 10 last month. She is followed by Medler, our 3 legged black and white tuxedo kitty - who's 7th birthday is today. Next came Madden, whose name fits because he is annoying as can be. He also is a black and white tuxedo kitty and is 5 years old. The first cat we got together is Apollo, a spacy "freak" of a long haired black and white nature. He hates everyone except me. He has had a rough 3 years of life. And last but not least we round out our family with Devin. (Adopted because I vetoed a dog at that point, so James got a cat "of his own"instead.) Devin is 2 years old, and a loving little orange tabby.

So now you've heard about our zoo. I am an RVT, Registered Veterinary Techinican. I have an AAS in Veterinary Science Technology. I worked in a feline only practice, Just Cats, for almost 6 years before becoming a full time Mommy. I love my current career field, and wouldn't change it for anything. James is currently enlisted in the US Air Force as a member of Security Forces. He will be enlisted for at least another 5 years, and hopefully will make it a career to gain the retirement benefits.

We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I try to be a good example, but know that I will fall short every day. I like the outdoors. I am looking forward to camping and hiking with James and Josh in the near future. Obviously I adore animals, but I also like to read, particularly medical mysteries and suspense novels, I like to sing and some day I would like to learn to play the piano. I am addicted to bf.com and the foodnetwork channel.
